Green plate for machines in the leather and footwear system
Assomac, the National Association of Manufacturers of Footwear, Leather Goods and Tannery Technology, presented the labelling system on the energy-environmental performance of the sector’s technologies at Simac Tanning Tech and, with the official presentation of the ‘Supplier of Sustainable Technologies’ project, officially announced the ‘Green Plaque’ at Simac Tanning Tech 2018. Sabal is already active in the environmental field and has been undertaking such a programme for some time, increasingly optimising its production processes, making them more performing, safe and above all environmentally friendly, linking and combining the production process with environmental sustainability. The Green Plaque is a voluntary route for companies in the sector to inform the end customer about the efficiency parameters and reduction of the environmental impact of the technologies they produce. The Green Plaque is an easy-to-understand tool that aims to express the efficiency and environmental impact of the machine being examined through the internationally recognised Carbon Footprint (CFP), processed using LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) calculation methods.
